Skagit Valley College is home to a full marine technology training program and is a member of the Marine League of Schools, and the Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology. The Center supports a statewide alliance of private industry, education, economic and workforce development professionals, the Centers’ mission is to increase the competitiveness of the boat and ship building, repair and refit industries of Washington State. Serving as the hub for innovation and education, the Center helps to highlight and share best practices related to industry trends and emerging technologies fostering economic vitality through leadership and collaboration with state, national and international partners.
