MACKEEN GROUP LLC is a privately owned LLC in Florida that consults with various marine interests around the world. The company is contracted as the Executive Director of the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast, which advocates for all marine interests across four counties.
Robert Mac Keen, President, has a lifelong history in the maritime industry starting a 4 years old watching the mold split on 36′ sailboats built by his father. He savaged his first boat at 9 years old in the Bahamas. A competitive sailor through highschool. The technical manager of commercial cargo ships for 20+ years, including the owner’s representative for 3 commercial newbuilds through the 90’s and 2010’s ultimately led him to the shipyard side of the industry where he completed major refits, life extensions and built new facilities, including the record-breaking shipyard at Derecktor Ft. Pierce.
