SALARY: $29,245 – $43,868 (FULL BENEFITS)
The Marine Services Coordinator is responsible for coordination of office and boatyard business activities for the Swantown Boatworks which includes customer service, customer accounting, general office duties and special projects as assigned. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting and performing boatyard activities including haulouts, pressure washing, boat blocking and general maintenance and cleanup to Port property and equipment.
Duties:
Under direct supervision of the Marine Services Manager, the individual selected for this position will be responsible for all business and office administration procedures to include, but not limited to, account management, cash reconciliation, preparation and collection of bills, work orders and invoices, purchasing and scheduling of boatyard services. In addition, this position will be required to assist and perform boat haulouts, launch and storage operations, boat bottom washing, grounds keeping, cleaning and maintenance of Port equipment. At times this position requires extensive periods of working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Perform business record keeping, file system maintenance, equipment/supply ordering, business correspondence, invoicing, daily bank deposits and billing using Microsoft Office software.
2) Perform daily cleaning activities to the boatyard, docks, offices and other public areas as necessary.
3) Assist with the compliance of all best management practices and Swantown rules and regulations.
4) Operate or assist in the operation of Port equipment to include forklifts, boat launcher, workboat, pressure washer, Port vehicles, environmental compliance equipment and assorted shop and hand tools.
5) Perform or assist with vessel haulouts, blocking, storage, mast and engine removals and pressure washing activities.
6) Perform maintenance and repairs to Port facilities and equipment.
7) Assist with and provide for docking and securing of vessels.
8) Identify, collect, store and record hazardous waste materials collected by the Port.
9) Perform basic Boatworks accounting operations such as monthly statements, invoicing, daily bank deposits, while maintaining appropriate internal controls.
10) Assist in maintaining the recycle program.
11) Schedule customer haulouts, launches and other marine service activities.
12) Provide administrative support to the Marine Services Manager and Harbor Director.
13) Perform various marina office and maintenance operations as directed.

Requirements:
|
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
High School Graduation or possession of a GED Certificate AND two years work experience with an emphasis on office administration, industrial work experience or other skills that will enhance the operations of Swantown Boatworks AND a valid driver’s license AND the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Desirable qualifications include college level business course work, prior boatyard or marina experience, business and office administration experience, basic repair and maintenance skills and boating experience.

This position completes standard and complex repairs on all phases of vessel systems, including running gear, plumbing, HVAC, Genset, winch & davit systems, and all other mechanical problems. May assist lower-level technicians with repair of black & gray water systems, engine cooling systems, and steering. May also complete preventative maintenance activities as required. Completes all repairs and may act as a technical expert and resource to the rest of the shop. Completes necessary paperwork as required.
